The Solidarity Fair New Future – Rastrillo 2011

The Solidarity Fair New Future – Rastrillo, a supportive space where you can find the ideal gifts for Christmas at reduced prices, is back to Lisbon. The event is attended by Maria Cavaco Silva and S.A.R Dona Pilar de Borbón of Spain, for the opening of the Fair on the 25th at 12.00.
In times of crisis and with the approach of Christmas, the spirit of solidarity is more present and the Portuguese can, with a small gesture, to help raise funds for the New Future Association, whose mission is to support children and young people regardless of age, race, sex or religion who have been deprived of a suitable family environment.
The visitor has at his disposal 47 stalls with a wide and varied range of products for sale, donated by companies, businesses or private individuals, provided household linen, crockery, glassware and decorative items, books, cosmetics and perfumery, women wear child and man, baby items, toys and second hand items.
To provide animated and relaxed moments, the organization has created several restore points and will toast the visitors with musical moments throughout the fair

Open: From 12:00 to 22:30, on 25, 26 and 27, and from 12h00 to 20h00 on 28 of November
Prices: Admission is € 2.50 and children under 10 years do not pay.

‘The Presence of Things: The Still Life in Europe’ brings together works by 70 artists in Lisbon

‘Ginger Jar and Eggplants, “by Paul Cezanne, and’ Field of Sunflowers,” by Claude Monet, who belong to the collection of the Metropolitan Museum in New York, ‘The Sense of Speed’, Salvador Dalí, the painter borrowed by the foundation Catalan or ‘Still Life with Fan, “by Paul Gauguin, courtesy Musée d’ Orsay in Paris, are four of the 93 works that can be seen in Portugal, in the exhibition ‘The Presence of Things: The Still Life in Europe , which opens Oct. 21 in the Gulbenkian Museum. Also represented are Van Gogh, Picasso, Magritte, and Portugal, Amadeo de Souza-Cardoso, Vieira da Silva and Eduardo Viana. The works are from 37 institutions from 11 countries.

Sandbox – Young Entrepreneurs

Tram Lisbon and SandboxHelping young entrepreneurs from all world making decisions about their business ideas and giving them tools that allow them to have a global impact, are the main golds of Sandbox Global Summit 2012, one of the biggest encounters of young liders, that will take place between the days 20 and 22 of January 2012, at MUDE – Museu de Design e da Moda.

Arround “200 young entrepreneurs of Sandbox and 50 liders by excelence” will be in the portuguese capital to “work together”, “share and solve chalenges”, through the several courses that will occur alltrough this event. The organization informs that this will be the first meeting with such an huge magnitude.

Tom Currier, a businessman of 20 years, co-founder of a company encharge of solar energy, and Patrick Liotard-Vogt, with 27 anos, president of an exclusive social network, the Smallworld, are just some of the prominent people that will attend this event.

Sandbox brings together young businessman, under 30 years, to share experiences, ideas and solutions to their projects. Just until now the community has 600 members, in over 48 countries.

Contemporary Art and Food Tasting.

“Bairro das Artes - Cultural Rentrée of the 7th Hill” is a joint initiative of “I Love Bairro Alto” and “Galeria das Salgadeiras” for the cultural rentrée of the city of Lisbon.
In this event, the associated gallery’s will inaugurate their exhibitions, and have a food tasting in partnership with the “Lisbon Proof”, they will have an extended schedule which will allow the public to enjoy a quite broad offer of eclectic and contemporary art. Those who cannot attend can always follow the event online, as it will be recorded and streamed.
The event is also supported by CMLisboa, “Aliança Vinhos de Portugal”, “Mostra e Flúor design”.

September 23, from 19:00 to 23:00, in all associated Galleries.
