This summer Barcelona will host bikers, tourists, fans and curious who want to share three legen-wait for it-dary days around the best bikes, activities and atmosphere in this big event of this American brand.

The Barcelona Marathon – Marato Barcelona 2011
If you are coming to Barcelona in March, don´t miss the annual Marathon, which exists since 1978. The course is advertised to be flat, the hilly parts are mostly situated in the beginning of the route. Usually, a lot of marathoners are visitors from abroad, and take the opportunity to visit Barcelona in the springtime and at the same time get an extensive tour through the city at marathon speed. Indeed, the course passes through Plaza Espanya, Plaza Universitat, Arc de Triomf, Plaza Catalunya, and other famous and beautiful places.
This year the Marathon will take place on the 6th of March 2011. It will start and finish in front of the Magic Fountain, in la avinguda de la Reina Maria Cristina, in the Sants-Montjuïc Fira district. During the week end of this event, there will also be a lot of activities in Barcelona.
If you plane to watch or participate in the marathon, don’t forget to book an apartment in the area of Sants-Montjuïc Fira.
