“Veranos de la villa” 2012 has become a key event in Madrid. Every year, from June to September, the capital fills up with fans came to admire the Art in all its forms, music, dance, theater, cinema, and much more!

Again this year the festival promises to be rich in emotions, with a program of uninterrupted carnival and concerts from the 27 of June to the 2 of September.

The festival will include three outdoor stages:

• El Matadero and El Conde Duque, the meeting of fringe music, theater, poetry, circus and summer cinema.

Metro: Noviciado / Plaza de Espana / Legazpi

• The Sabatini Gardens, with performances of zarzuela (operetta), ballet and flamenco.

Metro: Ópera / Plaza de España

• The Circo Price Theater, main-stage of this year, which will hold 25 concerts from the 27 of June to the 29 of July.

The festival features all musical styles: pop, indie, rock, funk, folk, reggae, flamenco, etc… Among other the and musicians are: rocker John Hiatt and Julieta Venegas (the 10 and 13), Jimmy Cliff at the reggae (the 16), the jazz vocalists Melody Gardot, Katie Melua and Pink Martini (the 19, 24 and 25), the Spanish singer Miguel Poveda and Tomatito (the 14 and 29), or world music major representatives as Omar Faruk (the 29).

And as a curiosity of this year, the famous Dr. House, Hugh Laurie real name, will sing with his band The Cooper Band Bottom at the Price in the 27 of July.
