This nice and very well restored apartment is situated in Lisbon's pleasant old town quarter Campo de Ourique. The apartment is only a few yards away from the "Prazeres" tram stop of the famous eléctrico No. 28, facing the old cemetery of Prazeres, one of the oldest cemeteries in the city, parading beautifully sculptured family graves of the Portuguese aristocracy and well as intelligentsia – absolutely not to miss! In the heart of the borough, the beautiful Jardim da Parada with century old trees, where locals meet for a chat or a game of cards and where you can find playing facilities for children. Still in the neighbourhood, within walking distance, the Casa-Museu de Fernando Pessoa, Lisbon's beautiful park Jardim da Estrela and just opposite one of the gates, the baroque cathedral - Basilica da Estrela - are all well worth a visit; the Parliament is just a few yards away. Just a 10 minute ride by tram and you are in the famous quarter Bairro Alto, further down lays Baixa-Chiado followed by Alfama-Castelo.
The apartment is situated on the 3rd floor (top floor) of a beginning of the 20th century building, presenting an art nouveau entrance lobby & very friendly stairs. The apartment consists of a living and dining-room with a good sized sofa bed, 2 sleeping rooms (with a double bed each), a completely equipped kitchen, with dish washer, and a bathroom with bathtub and bidet. All rooms are separate. There is also a nice veranda with a beautiful view of the Heath and Park of Monsanto. All rooms have fine polished wooden floors and beautiful original doors, some of the sloping ceilings have wooden finishing’s giving the apartment a cosy and original atmosphere.
